Latke is one of the original OG's being bred for meat, we had the golden opportunity to bring her home and offer Yentl a companion. Now Latke orchestrates shenanigans with her partner in crime Opal, Takes long naps in the sun, and literally runs like a bat out of hell when you call her name! This goofy sweet girl is just like a character from a story book, and what a magical storyline we are a part of thanks to her,.

She is small but mighty. Opal, like many of our other residents suffered at the hands of backyard breeding. She doesn’t let her underdevelopment stop her. She's grown quite a bit, has a sassy attitude, and is the first one to check any of the new kids on the block. She doesn't question any snack you give her, and loves to her BFF Latke.

Big Mama was being sold on craigslist for sausage as she was no longer producing live offspring. Her breeding days are over, and she's certainly not on the menu here. We saw how special she was, and knew that she deserved a chance at a full and happy life. When you look into Big Mama's eyes you see the gratitude overflowing. She's so very kind, and makes it a point to spend as much time with you as she can each day between the napping and snacking. Such a busy schedule for someone who's retired, huh? Big Mama loves pumpkins, short bread cookies, and watermelon.
